  • Does the apartment have a sea view?

    Yes, the apartment has a large roof terrace from which you can see the sea, see also the photos.

  • How many guests can be accommodated?

    The apartment is designed for a maximum of four guests, who will be accommodated in two bedrooms, each with a double bed. When booking, please keep in mind that these are double beds.

  • Is there Wi-Fi in the holiday apartment?

    Yes, the apartment has free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi connection is very stable, as it's connected via fiber optic. You'll receive the Wi-Fi password upon check-in with our digital guest folder.

  • Is the apartment child-friendly?

    The apartment is safe for children 6 years and older (school age), but in our opinion, it is not suitable for babies or toddlers. There is no stair gate, nor are there any items such as cots/cribs or high chairs available.

  • Is the apartment barrier-free?

    No, the apartment is not wheelchair accessible. The entrance is on the ground floor, and a flat, wide staircase with a railing leads to the first floor, where the apartment itself is located.

  • Are pets welcome in the holiday apartment?

    No, unfortunately, for hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed in the holiday apartment.

  • When can I move into the holiday apartment on the day of arrival?

    You can move into the apartment from 4 p.m. on your day of arrival. You'll receive access via a key in a key safe at the house, so you can arrive later in the day—at your convenience.

  • Is there parking?

    Yes, you can park for free in a parking space directly at the house for the duration of your stay.

  • How do I get access to the holiday apartment?

    There is a key safe at the house. You can open it using a code and retrieve the keys to access the apartment. You will receive the code for the key safe via email shortly before your arrival.

  • By what time do I have to leave the holiday apartment on the day of departure?

    Please vacate the apartment by 12 noon on the day of departure.

  • Are bed linen and towels included in the rental price?

    Yes, the rental price includes a linen package for each guest, consisting of towels and bed linen.

  • Are there any additional costs?

    In addition to the actual rental price, which includes accommodation and linen packages, the only mandatory tourist tax is the tourist tax charged by the town of Wyk auf Föhr and the island's municipalities. This amounts to €1.80 per adult per day in 2025, and €3.50 during the period from March 1 to October 31 (peak tourist season). For this calculation, the day of arrival is considered a full day, and the day of departure is not.

  • Is there a minimum length of stay?

    The minimum stay is only 3 nights.

  • When was the apartment last renovated?

    The apartment was completely and completely remodeled with a new floor plan in 2024! We do touchups every season.

  • Are there fixed arrival and departure dates?

    No, you can arrive and depart on any day of the week, subject to availability.

  • Will there be a contact person available to me on site?

    You can easily reach us via WhatsApp during your stay. If necessary, we can send someone to the house (caretaker).

  • What are the cancellation conditions?

    We have very moderate cancellation policies compared to other islands. You can cancel free of charge up to 31 days before arrival. If you cancel up to 14 days before arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund.

  • What does the kitchen equipment look like?

    We think it has everything, e.g.:

  • Can I wash and dry clothes in the apartment?

    Yes, a washing machine and dryer are available for your use free of charge during your stay.

  • Can I use my streaming services on site?

    Yes, you can use common TV streaming services on your devices via Wi-Fi, as well as on all three Smart TVs in the apartment using your private login details (at your own expense). Apps from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney , Joyn, WOW, and Apple TV are installed on all devices.

  • Is there a balcony or terrace?

    You have private access to a large roof terrace, which features a seating area for four in the summer. A view of the sea is included for free!

  • Is there some kind of “house rules”?

    "House rules" sounds a bit strict and stuffy – but yes, we've also developed some guidelines (in addition to those already in place for the community) to ensure everyone's well-being. You can find them in the footer of the page under "House rules."

  • How far is it to the shops?

    Ute's Huus is located in the quiet part of the beach boulevard "Sandwall." Numerous shops are located there. Streets lead from Sandwall to the pedestrian zone.

  • How do I get tips and information on site?

    Before your arrival and during your stay, you will receive full access to a small guest website ("digital guest folder") containing comprehensive information. This includes practical tips about the apartment and your stay, as well as ideas for leisure activities, restaurants, important information about emergency services/pharmacies, ferry connections, etc. There is no paper-based information available on-site at the apartment.

  • Is there a tourist tax to be paid in Wyk auf Föhr?

    Yes, in Wyk auf Föhr, a state-recognized spa town, a spa tax is levied. This tax is used to finance and maintain tourist infrastructure such as beaches, promenades, and recreational facilities.

  • How is the spa tax billed?

    We will invoice you separately for the tourist tax once we have received all your guest information. This will be after online check-in, not long before your arrival, and is a completely separate process from the actual booking. You pay by bank transfer.

  • What is the guest card in Wyk auf Föhr?

    In Wyk auf Föhr, the mandatory guest card is proof of payment of the tourist tax, which is levied on all non-residents who use the island's tourist facilities and services. You must carry the guest card with you while traveling on the island.

  • How do I get the guest card(s)?

    You and all your fellow travelers will receive your guest card(s) conveniently and digitally via email before your arrival. You can keep the guest card(s) as a wallet file on your smartphone or, more traditionally, as a (printable) PDF.

  • Can I send my luggage ahead for storage?

    Unfortunately, for insurance reasons, we are unable to store your luggage here before or after your stay. We recommend using the well-known services, such as the DB Luggage Service operated by Deutsche Bahn in cooperation with the logistics company Hermes. However, you can easily ship your luggage separately for your return journey from Föhr. You can find more information here.
