House rules

We don't really like too many rules and prohibitions. But please consider these points as guidelines that protect us all—you and us!


Rules for the holiday apartment

  • Charging electric vehicles using household electricity is not permitted.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the apartment, however, you may smoke outside, for example, on the balcony. We assume no liability if this disturbs other guests. Please dispose of all cigarette butts.
  • Barbecuing over open fires is prohibited on the entire property.
  • No hygiene products, food scraps or grease may be disposed of in drains.
  • There are no claims for compensation for WLAN disruptions caused by weather conditions.
  • The Wi-Fi may not be used for illegal purposes.
  • Security and duty of care: The holiday apartment door should always be closed and locked with the key when leaving the house. For fire safety reasons, we ask that you keep the front door closed at all times, but do not lock it with the key at night. Please also remember to close the windows when leaving the holiday accommodation to prevent burglary and storm damage.
  • Using the washing machine: Please leave the door and detergent drawer open after use so that residual moisture can evaporate and prevent mold or unpleasant odors from forming.
  • Using the tumble dryer: Please clean the lint filter after each drying cycle, as lint impairs the drying performance
  • Sustainability and environmental protection: We ask that you use water and electricity sparingly. Please make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and all electronic devices when you leave the house.
  • The apartment must be adequately ventilated, even during the cold season. By briefly but sufficiently ventilating the room (approximately 5-10 minutes, several times a day), you can reduce mold growth and significantly contribute to infection protection.
  • Persons not registered are not permitted to stay overnight in the accommodation.


Rest periodsThe town of Wyk auf Föhr, as a North Sea spa and health resort, has a municipal regulation for rest periods:

  • Lunch break: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Sunday rest: All day (especially 7:00 - 13:00 and 15:00 - 19:00)

During these times, noisy activities, such as loud music, are prohibited. Exceptions apply to commercial/agricultural work, emergency work, and officially approved events.
